Senior Platform Engineer

• 3+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with focus on on-premise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining production-grade Kubernetes or RedHat OpenShift clusters on bare-metal or private hardware.
• Strong expertise in Linux internals including storage, networking, and process management.
• Hands-on experience with Data Center Networking fundamentals: switching, routing, load balancing, firewall rules.
• Experience with automation workflows using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ability to work in an agile environment under high-pressure conditions.
• Strong communication skills, ability to document complex architectures, and mentor junior members.
• Self-motivated with curiosity and focus in pressured environments.

• Design and implement local CI/CD pipelines within dedicated on-premise environments.
• Develop and operate common platform services centered on RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Manage physical and virtual layers including Networking, Storage, and Compute.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on private hardware.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines to automate server provisioning, OS hardening, and application deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, storage, or container orchestration issues.
• Implement security best practices like CIS hardening and SELinux in air-gapped environments.
• Optimize Linux kernel parameters and network configurations.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct code/configuration reviews.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Software Defined Storage (Ceph, Rook, ODF).
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere or KVM.
• Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Certifications such as CKA or RHCE.
• Security experience with CIS Hardening and STIG compliance.
