Wymagania

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a bar association with authorization to practice where employed.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as an attorney in private law firms and/or as in-house counsel.
  • Direct experience advising global product, service, and/or engineering teams on integrating privacy and security.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technology discipline is highly desired.
  • Experience in a technical role for SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, or hybrid software and services providers is highly desired.
  • Prior experience with incident response is desired.
  • Desired certifications include CIPP/E, CIP, CIPM, AIGP.
  • Highly desired security certifications such as CISSP, CIPM, CCSP, GSEC, or Security+.
  • Working knowledge of global security and privacy laws and standards, notably EU laws like NIS2, DORA, Cyber Resilience Act, Critical Entities Resilience Act, and UK security laws.
  • Working knowledge of frameworks like NIST RMF, NIST PF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001 is desired.
  • General understanding of cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
  • Fluent in English.

Obowiązki

  • Serve as data protection subject matter legal and compliance expert to cybersecurity, legal, services, and global product teams.
  • Provide advice and counsel on relevant global privacy and security laws, standards, and policies, focusing on security.
  • Assist and advise commercial counsel with evaluation and negotiation of data protection contract terms.
  • Research and determine applicability and obligations of security regulations and frameworks, especially EU regulations like NIS2, DORA, Cyber Resilience Act, and Critical Entities Resilience Act.
  • Research and advise on security control frameworks from cybersecurity authorities or agencies.
  • Participate in incident response activities.
  • Participate in cybersecurity and privacy assessments of products and services to advise on compliance implications and mitigation.
  • Provide proactive legal guidance on data protection compliance risks related to new product and service launches.
  • Maintain expertise in global data protection laws, focusing on EU security laws, and advise on their impact.
  • Develop and provide training to internal teams regarding compliance with security laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide reports on compliance efforts to senior management as requested.
