Software Engineering Manager - Public Safety

Motorola Solutions is a global company focused on building and connecting technologies to protect people, property, and places, fostering collaboration critical for public safety. The role relates to the public safety software domain, specifically Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software used by first responders and public safety professionals.

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in software development teams.
• Practical experience programming large-scale systems and developing software architectures.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to solve complex technical problems autonomously.
• Team player fostering trust and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing complete end-to-end software lifecycle.
• Cloud engineering expertise, especially with Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.

• Lead and mentor engineering teams to promote outstanding leadership.
• Define complex engineering requirements and shape software architecture.
• Establish and refine engineering best practices; plan and deliver team milestones.
• Communicate effectively with team and stakeholders to align on shared goals.
