Senior Application Engineer - NMS

Nasdaq is a global technology company involved in building technology platforms. The position is for a Senior Software Engineer located in Poland, working on software solutions that support Nasdaq's global technology platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including design, development, testing, and implementation of complex solutions.
• Proficiency in C++ with experience developing and maintaining high-performance, production-grade software.
• Strong understanding of systems architecture, application infrastructure, and software development lifecycle.
• Clear communicator with experience in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Nice to have:

• Advanced degree or specialization in financial markets, finance, mathematics, or related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications across specialist technology disciplines.
• Experience working with global teams or contributing to enterprise-scale systems in regulated industries.

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions across new and existing applications, systems architecture, and infrastructure to meet complex business needs.
• Analyse and review system requirements and business processes, translating them into robust, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Evaluate emerging technology and market trends to inform technology decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
• Collaborate across functions and geographies to deliver end-to-end solutions spanning architecture, database design, software development, and testing.
• Mentor and challenge team members to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and adoption of industry best practices.
