Lead Data Solutions Architect

Roche Digital Technology (RDT) is a global team at the heart of Roche focused on harnessing digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and data to transform healthcare. This role is part of the Diagnostics division, working to build a decentralized, enterprise-wide data ecosystem that facilitates scalable and trustworthy data products for life-changing patient solutions.

• Proven experience designing and implementing Data Mesh architectures and managing cloud platforms like Snowflake (with AWS as an advantage).
• Hands-on expertise in scalable enterprise data models using Data Vault 2.0 methodology and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency with Python, dbt, GitLab CI/CD, Talend, and API ingestion.
• Extensive experience ensuring data quality standards and applying observability principles across data pipelines.
• Strong capability to engage stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor with data-driven insights.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in guiding and elevating data engineering teams.

• Drive the overarching design of Data Mesh architectures and integrated data solutions aligned with business needs.
• Lead definition and implementation of reusable, discoverable, and governed Data Products ensuring compliance with access management, data classification, audit traceability, and regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, GDPR).
• Partner with Data Domain Leads, Sub-Domain Leads, and Data Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture proposals.
• Direct and mentor a delivery team of external data engineers, fostering technical standards and continuous improvement.
• Innovate and optimize domain data processes, focusing on pipeline design and enterprise data modeling strategies.
• Oversee end-to-end data pipeline buildout and cloud performance optimization using Python, dbt, GitLab CI/CD, Talend, and API consumption.
