Digital Workplace Senior Technical Engineer

The role is part of the Digital Workplace Core Engineering Team within Roche Digital Technology IT global organization, responsible for tools and technologies supporting over 150,000 users.

• Certified M365 Administrator with hands-on experience managing M365 environments
• More than 8 years of experience in system administration on email and cloud services
• Fluent English
• Understanding of email protocols and networking basics: SMTP, IMAP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TCP/IP, DNS
• Strong hands-on technical skills with infrastructure technologies and business applications
• Strong understanding of modern workplace technologies
• Experience with Email Transport through Secure Email Gateways such as Fortimail, ProofPoint
• Experience designing solutions aligned with standards for security, validation, capacity, and high availability
• Experience with AI technologies including machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven automation tools
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or other ITSM solutions based on ITIL processes
• Experience scripting against APIs with languages like Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell
• Google Workspace administration experience
• Additional languages are welcome

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of Digital Workplace solutions using M365 and other modern digital technologies
• Act as a subject matter expert for digital workplace technologies, providing guidance and technical consultancy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure seamless integration of digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity and collaboration
• Manage and optimize M365 environments ensuring security, scalability, and reliability
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to maintain system integrity
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence to enhance digital workplace solutions and user experience
• Utilize AI technologies to analyze data and optimize workplace performance
• Explore and integrate AI capabilities in collaboration tools
• Manage 3rd level business critical incidents and escalation
• Document solutions and processes
• Mentor and guide junior team members fostering continuous learning

Primary job location is Madrid, Spain. Additional locations include Poznan and Warsaw. This role requires fluent English.
