Engineer (Software/Data), AI-Native Data & Applications

Roche Digital Technology (RDT) is a global team focusing on digital innovation in healthcare, powered by artificial intelligence, data, and scalable technology. The role is based in the Dia R&D Portfolio & Project Management division, dedicated to enabling data-driven decisions for diagnostic solutions. The team operates using a modern Data Mesh framework and builds AI-native data products and custom applications on Snowflake and AWS.

• Curiosity and preference for AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Claude Code.
• Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, SQL, Data Vault methodology, and Data Mesh / Data Product principles.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT pipeline development, data quality assurance, and orchestration/version control tools like Airflow and Git-based CI/CD.
• Preferred experience with Python, Collibra, Monte Carlo, and IMMUTA.
• Analytical mindset with domain understanding of diagnostics impacting patient care.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

• Use AI-assisted development across data pipelines, transformations, and applications.
• Design, develop, and support scalable data products within Snowflake on AWS.
• Build and grow a custom application platform for enterprise solutions.
• Design and monitor automated releases, manage change requests, and maintain release documentation.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and security using tools like Monte Carlo, Collibra, and IMMUTA.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Architects, and Solution Architects to co-create tailored data solutions.
• Act as domain expert for data extraction from systems like Planisware, ROMA, and DP360.
• Lead and participate in the Data Engineering community to establish standards and share knowledge.
