Team Lead Engineering Terminology Management Platform

Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive engineering and people leadership in global tech, enterprise software, consulting, or regulated healthcare/life sciences.
• Proven track record leading distributed, multi-disciplinary engineering teams building scale-out platforms, data platforms, or AI/ML pipelines.
• Experience driving enterprise-scale data transformations, semantic layers, or knowledge graph platforms.
• Experience in regulated environments like healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or finance is highly desirable.

Education:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or related field (nice-to-have).

Technical & Business Skills:

• Deep expertise in AI readiness paradigms including Semantic Layers, Context Layers, Knowledge Graphs (RDF/OWL, Labeled Property Graphs), Ontologies/Taxonomies, Graph RAG, Vector Databases.
• Strong grasp of enterprise data architecture models like Data Mesh, Data Fabric, modern cloud data stacks.
• Understanding of bridging deterministic data stores and Generative AI / Agentic LLM frameworks.
• Ability to drive platform engineering at scale using agile methodologies while maintaining architectural coherence.

Leadership Skills:

• Executive presence, able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical executives.
• Enterprise mindset to unify disparate organizations around shared vision.

• Experience contributing to or leading open-source, industry consortium, or enterprise-wide data governance and ontology standards (e.g., FAIR data principles).
• Experience managing global strategic vendor relationships and specialized tech consultancies.

• Define success metrics for AI context quality, query latency, ontology adoption, and business impact.
• Translate complex technical insights into strategic narratives for leadership.
• Lead optimization efforts in data mesh architectures, ontology evolution, and semantic graph performance.

Financial & Resource Management:

• Support business case development and justify investments.
• Manage resource allocation optimizing portfolio goals.
• Manage budgets including headcount and operational costs.
