Cybersecurity Engineer for Secure Access Network (Temporary, Fixed Term)

Roche is a global healthcare company focused on advancing science to ensure access to healthcare today and for future generations. The Network Security team secures Roche’s global connectivity through policy-driven, automated infrastructure. This position is temporary and fixed-term with a duration of 1 to 2 years.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting Next-Generation Firewalls with strong networking expertise.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) and understanding of Fortinet's Security Fabric.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks products (PA-Series, VM-Series, Panorama, App-ID, User-ID, WildFire).
• Solid understanding of security concepts, trends, and best practices.
• Hands-on technical security skills and experience with security technologies and infrastructure.
• Previous experience in Manufacturing environments.
• Certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4-8, Palo Alto Networks PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNP Security, or CISSP preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Programming and operations skills with Python, Perl, Ruby, Powershell.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps toolsets including Jenkins, Ansible, Git, GitLab, Terraform.
• Experience with Agile frameworks/methodologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Design and develop robust network segmentation strategies and architectures using Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Create detailed network diagrams, design documents, and implementation plans for new segmentation environments.
• Collaborate with network architects to integrate firewall solutions into existing infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy, and manage Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, Palo Alto Networks PA-Series, and Panorama firewalls.
• Implement firewall policies, NAT rules, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), routing, and other security features.
• Perform migrations and upgrades of firewall infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues related to firewall configurations and segmentation.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule.
