Senior Engineering Manager, Derivatives Operations

SimCorp is a FinTech company supporting large financial institutions by simplifying investments, accounting, and operations. The company is moving its business model towards being a SaaS provider using modern technology based on Microsoft Azure. This role is part of the technology transformation to expand teams in the Derivatives Operations area of Investment Operations.

• 4+ years of experience leading software engineers with ability to guide and grow employees by setting clear directions and goals.
• Pride in delivering sound software solutions to clients.
• Hands-on experience as a software engineer in an international organization is a plus.
• Good understanding of core engineering practices including testing methodologies, coding, CI/CD, security, and architecture.
• Ability to comprehend daily work of teams and build a collaborative, open culture.
• Excellent communication skills in English to build networks across international colleagues.
• Experience working effectively in a large international organization at various levels.
• Solid understanding of fintech industry, specifically investment management, financial instruments, and investment operations.
• Experience with Agile ways of working in software development.

• Build, lead, and grow two agile teams of skilled Software Engineers in Investment Operations / Derivatives Operations, including staffing and team development.
• Work closely with Product Management to understand and refine customer outcomes.
• Lead day-to-day Scrum team activities, managing short-term deliverables and long-term improvements.
• Enable team delivery by creating transparency in progress, identifying risks, and mitigating them.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to improve product quality, security, delivery, and system performance.
• Provide input on the strategic direction of the product area.
