Principal Software Engineer - Fullstack (C#, Angular) - OTC Product Area

For over 50 years, SimCorp has been a leading provider of integrated investment management solutions, working closely with investment and asset managers. The company employs over 3,500 colleagues of diverse backgrounds and is focused on fintech solutions for trading OTC financial instruments.

• Excellent C# and Angular skills for frontend and backend development.
• Good Azure cloud skills with experience in deployment and cost optimization.
• Experience or willingness to learn functional programming languages (e.g., OCaml, Standard ML, F#, Scala, Haskell).
• Proven experience with architecture design and implementing scalable web applications with complex backend logic.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with legacy systems and refactoring/modernization projects.
• Interest in working with complex architectures focusing on simplification and maintainability.
• Demonstrated success in a multinational company focused on digital product development.
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar field.
• Motivation to work within the financial domain.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to learn and acquire new technical and programming skills.
• Ability to learn through experimentation and apply creative problem-solving.
• Ability to identify technical debt.

• Leading the design and implementation of new web applications with robust backend systems for b2b fintech solutions.
• Creating scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions using C# and Angular.
• Driving modernization efforts including refactoring legacy systems and cloud migration to Azure.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute product roadmaps.
• Leading by example on best practices in software engineering, including clean code, testing, and CI/CD.
• Exploring and adopting functional programming paradigms.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders across business and technology domains.
• Working with product management to refine new features, understand business needs, and create technical roadmaps.
• Continuously learning and developing self, team, and product.
