Senior Risk Analytics Products Developer, Assistant Vice President of Non Financial Risk Analytics, (NFR), hybrid, Krakow/Gdansk

State Street Bank operates globally, providing institutional investors with risk management, financial services, and performance solutions. The role is part of the Global Operational Risk Insights & Analytics team, focusing on Non-Financial Risks including Operational, Technology/Cyber, and Compliance Risks.

• Proficiency in building dashboards (Power BI), including data model setup, DAX measures, and report-level filtering logic.
• Hands-on experience with product development and skills in Python, Java, SQL, and prompt engineering for data manipulation, scripting, and process automation.
• Proficiency with data science methods and agentic and generative AI tools for risk reporting use cases.
• Compliance with data and reporting governance, including data lineage, version control (Git), and source-of-truth principles.
• Solid understanding of non-financial risk areas such as operational, technology, 3rd party, compliance, incident management, KRI, and control data.
• Ability to act as team's anchor for automation build, proof of concept, and prototype development, including AI-assisted scripting.
• Exposure to data engineering including API integrations, scheduled pipelines, data refreshes, controls, Excel-to-database migrations, and cloud storage (SharePoint, Azure) for report outputs.
• 5 years of experience leading analytics/reporting teams and modernizing pipelines.
• Familiarity with governance tools/platforms such as Databricks and Collibra, and relevant regulatory expectations.
• Advanced degrees in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.

Nice to have:

• Experience in operational, enterprise, technology risk management or compliance.

• Design and improve prototypes delivering reporting and analytics across non-financial risk domains: compliance, operational risk, and technology risk management.
• Develop analytics and reporting products using exploratory data analysis, feature development, model calibration, visualization, and other data science methods.
• Produce clear, audit-ready documentation ensuring data and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with data engineering to build scalable artifacts supporting team strategy.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver clear, decision-ready dashboards and insights.
• Drive modernization from manual workflows to automated, repeatable product pipelines.
