Market Data Procurement & Sourcing , Vice President

The role is within State Street's Global Third Party Management team and reports to the Sourcing and Category Strategy head of Market Data.

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or commercial negotiations in financial institutions, data provider environments, consulting firms, or global organizations.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree and/or Law degree is a plus.
• Detailed understanding of contract language and structure, with negotiation and drafting experience; Market Data experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of sourcing processes across global organizations.

• Understand Market Data needs of various business areas and source required products and services from optimal vendors.
• Perform direct negotiations and manage large and complex Market Data agreements.
• Provide advice and guidance within Market Data sourcing with strong stakeholder management.
• Analyze data to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with process partners to mitigate risks and realize opportunities.
• Resolve solution requests and issues in a timely manner.
• Review, negotiate, and draft Market Data contracts including commercials and terms.
• Partner with legal and business to ensure contracts properly represent negotiated terms and usage rights.
• Identify and mitigate risks in contract language.
• Ensure timely completion of contracting processes.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Focus on market data categories including Pricing, Reference Data, Index Data, Desktop terminals, Exchanges, and Research/News.
• Collaborate with Third Party Risk Management to support policies and procedures for acquiring Market Data.
• Perform all duties according to regulatory compliance guidelines.
