Senior Security Software Engineer - .NET, Assistant Vice President

State Street is a global finance company serving institutional investors with risk management and investment services. The role is within the Platform Security Solutions organisation at Technology Platform Engineering & Operations division in one of the world’s largest banks.

• Experience with modern C# and .NET (versions 8/9/10).
• Experience with Blazor applications or ASP.Net Core.
• Experience with relational databases, ideally MSSQL.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts including Identity & Access Management (IAM), least privilege, and secret management.
• Understanding of performance/scale concepts such as asynchronous code, batch processing, locking, and concurrency.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex distributed systems.
• Ability to write robust and correct code.
• Proficiency with SDLC tools such as GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Strong experience working with APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and migrating or re-architecting workloads from on-premises to cloud-native.
• Experience working with ServiceNow API.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry.
• Fluency in using LLMs to enhance engineering workflows.

• Maintain and expand existing distributed systems, portals, and data warehouses.
• Develop new products from scratch for the Platform Security Solutions organisation.
• Operationalize security products at enterprise scale.
• Collaborate with Security Software Engineers and Architects.
• Use AI-assisted development techniques such as spec-driven development.
• Work with multiple internally developed distributed systems serving IT users and assets.
• Follow product mindset focused on cybersecurity and IT solutions.

The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office.
