Senior Angular Software Engineer - Prime Services - Business Intelligence

Citigroup is seeking a Senior Angular Software Engineer to work on Prime Intelligence, a critical business intelligence UI platform for Prime Services helping Traders and Salespeople make data-driven decisions in a financial technology context. The role involves contributing to a global team building sophisticated analytics UI platforms delivering complex post-trade and portfolio data insights.

• Extensive frontend experience with over 8 years designing, building, and deploying enterprise-scale distributed backend systems.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of modern Angular.
• Strong command of SQL and experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities with architectural decision making.
• Solid experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, version control with Git, containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or strong interest in the Finance sector, especially Prime Finance, PnL attribution, portfolio analytics, or post-trade processing.
• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with OLAP datastores like Apache Pinot.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Architect & build end-to-end software solutions using the Angular ecosystem, focusing on resilience, performance, and scalability.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers through architectural guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Champion DevOps and automation by contributing to CI/CD pipelines, using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying on an OpenShift container platform.
• Integrate with various upstream data sources and downstream consumers, collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Own the full application lifecycle including post-trade analytics and PnL explain support, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
