QA Test Automation Expert (Server side)

emagine Polska is recruiting a skilled QA Test Automation Expert for a long-term project in the Technology industry located in the Malmö Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on both manual and automated testing in complex software ecosystems. The position requires working onsite 5 days a week with some evening meetings and involves collaboration with development and product teams.

• Experience with Swift and XCUITest automation (Swift programming is nice to have).
• Background in manual QA testing with familiarity with structured methodologies.
• Experience with server-side testing and automation.
• Proficiency in Unix/shell scripting and Python to enhance test workflows.
• Strong emphasis on user experience, functional accuracy, and issue triage.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites for APIs and backend services.
• Ability to validate API request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and error handling.
• Skilled in analyzing server logs and debugging backend issues.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of contract testing for server-side systems.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Docker and microservices architecture.
• Security testing knowledge, including API security best practices.

• Conduct daily functional and regression testing.
• Plan, document, and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and strategies.
• Identify, reproduce, and report on detailed bugs and feature-related issues.
• Analyze test coverage, track progress, and communicate results effectively.
• Automate manual test cases utilizing Swift-based frameworks such as XCTest and XCUI or other server-side frameworks.
• Collaborate with development and design teams to guarantee feature quality and user experience.
• Maintain a meticulous focus on detail and ensure the visual and functional quality of features.

Server-side testing additional responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for API testing and backend services.
• Validate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and error handling.
• Analyze server logs and debug backend issues with query parameters.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize contract testing for server-side systems.
