Java Developer (e-commerce)

Development of an e-commerce project for a client that is one of the largest companies in this sector in the country.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Proven track record delivering highly complex solutions.
• Knowledge of the Java Ecosystem: Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Spring Framework, Python, Go.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Apache Mesos, and TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with engineering practices: TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Pair Programming.
• Strong interest and fundamental experience in AI-driven solutions, especially LLM integration and agentic systems.
• Ability to lead design and implementation of complex system features.
• Ownership mindset covering code quality, stability, scalability, and observability (monitoring, logging).
• Experience in architectural decisions and evaluating technical trade-offs.
• Skills in identifying and managing technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
• Consideration of technical decisions through user impact.
• Strong collaboration with engineers, Product Managers, and UX/UI Designers.
• High autonomy and accountability appropriate for contractor roles.
• Advanced communication skills in Polish and English (at least B2 level).
• Open to hybrid work from the client's Warsaw office.

Nice to have:

• Practical experience with cloud environments (GCP preferred) and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in cross-team collaboration within complex organizations.
• Providing technical mentorship and knowledge sharing.
• Advising on best technical practices and optimizing engineering standards.

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, robust Kotlin-based features and distributed components.
• Take full ownership of code quality, observability, and technical debt management.
• Drive the technical implementation of AI capabilities by integrating LLMs, agentic frameworks, and smart automation.
• Act as an autonomous contributor within a team.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cloud engineers on GCP/Kubernetes.
• Evaluate trade-offs, manage technical risks, and mentor the team.
