Fullstack Java Developer (banking)

Company Britenet operates in the banking sector, focusing on developing IT solutions including Data Lake and Data Warehouse processes, data flow both online and offline, and regulatory compliant projects.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Backend development skills with Java and API design
• Good knowledge of frontend technologies including React and/or Angular
• Experience in building web applications with conversational elements (chat streaming, conversation history, feedback, data sources)
• Basic knowledge of BigQuery and SQL
• Ability to design ergonomic user interfaces for data (tables, charts, drill-down, export)
• Familiar with team collaboration tools: Git, code review, quality standards, documentation, and testing (unit/integration/e2e)
• Experience in production environments including CI/CD, monitoring/logging, and incident response
• Willingness to cooperate with AI engineers and data teams including API contracts and data validations
• Polish language proficiency enabling fluent team communication (minimum B2)
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from client's office in Warsaw

• Build backend services with Java focusing on API design and development
• Develop frontend components using React and/or Angular
• Implement web applications featuring conversational chat elements including streaming responses, conversation history, user feedback, and data source presentation
• Design ergonomic UI for data representation: tables, charts, drill-down, and result export
• Collaborate with AI engineers and data teams on API contracts, data formats, validations, and cost constraints
• Work in production environments managing CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and incident response
• Participate in team development practices including Git, code reviews, documentation, and various types of testing (unit, integration, e2e)
• Build and maintain data solutions including Data Lake and DWH with both online and offline data flows
• Analyze data and design logical and physical models
• Develop data loading solutions in Python and Rust for structured and unstructured data
• Support testing and implementation of data feeding processes
• Assist in maintenance and servicing of deployed software

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of semantic/metrics layer solutions including caching, pre-aggregations, and metric governance
• Experience with conversational analytics tools and product patterns for 'chat with data'
• Experience with UI libraries and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform tools such as Cloud Run and Pub/Sub
• Basic containerization and deployment knowledge with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in regulated environments (banking) including audit, compliance, data classification, and security processes

Candidates should be ready to work in a hybrid model from the Warsaw office. Polish language proficiency at least B2 is required for team communication.
