Middle Support Engineer (Node.js)

The role is offered by MasterBorn, a company working with US-based clients in the American IT market, specifically for Payments.ai. The team is composed of top performers focused on providing high-quality services.

• 2+ years commercial experience in Node.js
• Experience with AWS debugging tools such as Cognito, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, Lambda
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (at least ES 2018), object-oriented programming, clean code, and best practices
• Experience with at least one Node.js backend framework (preferably Express.js)
• Experience with relational SQL databases using ORM or query builders (e.g., Sequelize, Knex)
• Experience with NoSQL or in-memory databases such as MongoDB, Redis (preferred)
• English language proficiency level C1 for direct communication with clients and documentation
• Polish language proficiency level C1 for team communication
• Understanding of MVP, prioritization, and quality outcomes under tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Past support-level experience, open-source contributions
• Experience with TypeScript and various backend frameworks
• Familiarity with process automation tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make
• Basic experience with Docker
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to debug and fix basic React issues
• Experience in other support roles

• Communicate with the client to gather issue reports and troubleshoot during the afternoon/evening hours (14-22 CET/CEST)
• Review error tracking tools, infrastructure, and 3rd party connections and debug as needed
• Prioritize requests and bugs, solving ongoing client requests
• Provide pro-active communication and problem-solving to deliver top-quality service
• Write readable and maintainable JavaScript code
• Be technically involved in the product, finding ways to improve and fix it
• Participate in design and modification of basic database structures
• Write documentation for delivered code and solutions
• Communicate with the team to translate business complexities (user stories/tasks) into deliverable solutions
• Stay updated on trends, share knowledge, teach others, and aim for high-quality solutions
• Improve and reuse the company’s knowledge base
