The Data Engineer role is part of the R&D team and focuses on cloud and SaaS integrations for customer spend visibility.
Wymagania
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data-heavy backend roles with production pipeline ownership
- Strong SQL skills with ability to write and optimize analytical queries
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration frameworks such as Dagster or Airflow; familiarity with Prefect or dbt is relevant
- Proficient in Python or another language used fluently for data work
- Experience with cloud data warehouses or analytical stores including BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Experience integrating third-party REST APIs handling pagination, rate limits, partial failures, and inconsistent documentation
- High attention to data correctness with skills in reconciliation and assertions
- AI-augmented working style with practical experience using AI tools in engineering workflows
- Experience developing cloud solutions or using cloud services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, thorough, and tenacious
Nice to have:
- Experience with cloud or SaaS billing data such as AWS/GCP/Azure cost and usage exports or marketplace billing
- Familiarity with Go used in backend services
- Experience with financial or audit-grade correctness systems (invoicing, metering, billing engines)
- Exposure to FinOps practices or cloud financial management products
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Obowiązki
- Building new integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs to increase vendor coverage
- Keeping existing integrations current with changing vendor APIs and pricing models
- Using AI tools continuously across code exploration, prototyping, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
- Ensuring data correctness and completeness including deduplication, gap handling, and support for negotiated rates
- Designing normalization models to make vendor bills comparable across units, currencies, time granularity, services, and cost categories
- Owning orchestration, scheduling, and backfill mechanisms for ingestion pipelines
- Collaborating with product, support, and engineering teams to identify gaps and propose improvements
