Analytics Engineer

• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or comparable data roles working with large data volumes
• Expertise in SQL, able to write and review complex queries confidently
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
• Engineering discipline in analytics code: version control, code review, testing, and continuous integration
• Comfortable with Python and experienced with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster
• Experience with cloud data warehouses; familiarity with BigQuery is a plus
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
• Proactive mindset seeking improvements and challenging the status quo

• Evolve the dbt project toward modular, documented, and tested data models organized in clear layers from raw sources to marts
• Define and govern metrics shaping the semantic layer, driving its adoption
• Shape data modeling standards and conventions and uphold them through code review, pairing, and documentation
• Partner with Data Scientists and Data Analysts to design datasets for analyses, dashboards, and ML models
• Build and enforce data testing practices in CI, and implement observability over the data
• Diagnose upstream data issues and drive resolution by collaborating with Data Engineering and Enterprise Systems teams
• Build and maintain Prefect workflows that operationalize data and models
