Full-Stack Software Engineer (React + .NET)

Symphony Solutions is a Cloud- and AI-driven technology company headquartered in the Netherlands, delivering services and products in Airline, Healthcare, iGaming, E-learning, e-Commerce, and Supply Chain domains. It operates globally with a remote-first mindset across over 20 countries.

• 3-5+ years of .NET and application development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core, .NET Core / .NET MVC, and C#.
• Familiarity with modern web development: HTML5, SCSS, TypeScript, React, and Redux.
• Experience with Entity Framework.
• Experience with source control systems (preferably Git).
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with technical design, architecture, best practices, and patterns.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Experience working with AI technologies, including integration of AI features/tools into applications.

Desired:

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Octopus.

.NET Development & Modernization:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+).
• Work with legacy .NET applications to modernize incrementally.
• Refactor legacy functionality carefully to avoid risk.
• Understand monolithic vs. modern distributed/cloud-based architectures.
• Develop clean, maintainable, testable, reusable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

API & Microservices Architecture:

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using modern .NET technologies.
• Understand API contracts, versioning, auth, error handling, logging, and inter-service communication.
• Understand tradeoffs between monolithic and microservice architectures.
• Build independently deployable and scalable services.
• Understand asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-driven patterns.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions based on requirements.

Data & Entity Framework:

• Deep knowledge of Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
• Develop and maintain data access layers using EF Core.
• Understand Code First, migrations, LINQ, relationships, transactions, change tracking.
• Diagnose and optimize database queries and performance.
• Work with SQL Server and relational database concepts.
• Use direct SQL or stored procedures when appropriate.

Team & Delivery:

• Contribute to Agile projects and Scrum workflows.
• Develop and unit test back-end and front-end features.
• Support and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including design, QA, and operations.
