Senior Product Engineer

Polar is a company building the next standard for applied AI startups, focusing on billing and analytics platform for startups with a strong engineering-led team distributed across Europe.

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and scaling high-quality software.
• Ability to ship fast and solve problems end-to-end.
• Strong proficiency with Polar's stack or similar programming languages and eagerness to learn new tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on developer experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent collaboration skills working with a small, high-performing team.
• Passionate about craft including animations, edge-case handling, developer experience, or performance optimizations.

Nice to have:

• Experience as a founder, startup CTO, open source maintainer, or indie hacker.
• Experience with payments, billing, or developer tools.

• Ship daily towards building the best monetization platform for developers.
• Design, build, and ship features, enhancements, and delights end-to-end across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate on architecture design, best practices, and ensuring high-quality code.
• Continuously improve the quality of services and developer experience.
• Engage frequently with the developer community to identify and solve pain points.
