Backend Engineer - Ingestion (Europe/UK timezone)

• Experience working with highly scalable, event-driven distributed systems.
• Developed multi-tenant software-as-a-service products.
• Experience with Node.JS, Go, Rust, or similar languages.
• Proficient with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar systems at scale.
• Ability to ship changes quickly without breaking systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with customer data platforms or similar data analytics systems.
• Experience handling incident management and carrying a pager.
• Comfortable provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with benchmarking and profiling tools.
• Knowledge of observability systems and practices.

• Develop the infrastructure to capture, process, and reliably provide ingestion data.
• Own the entire ingestion pipeline service end-to-end without committees or overzealous PMs.
• Build open-source software prominently using Rust.
• Deliver small, confident, and frequent improvements to the system.
• Collaborate with a distributed team across North America and Europe.
