FinOps Analyst

• 6+ years of experience in financial planning, accounting, cost management, and data analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Strong math skills and background in finance, analytics, and statistics.
• Understanding or exposure to Cloud Cost management and best practices like showback and chargeback.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including dynamic and logical formulas.
• Experience in data science tools like Tableau, Power Query, Power BI (plus).
• Exposure to Apptio Cloudability tool and SAP (plus).
• Understanding and adherence to accounting policies and SOX controls.
• Motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities.

• Serve as FinOps Lead to cloud product deployment projects, services, and R&D.
• Provide financial support on budget reconciliation process, variance report, and research against budget/forecasts.
• Assist with financial support during financial gap analysis.
• Lead the monthly close process, journal entries, and understand variances between actuals vs. forecast/budget.
• Deliver high-quality analysis independently using spreadsheet and quantitative tools, e.g., MS Power BI.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and anomalies indicating cost control weaknesses or risks.
• Partner with engineering and finance to understand cloud cost analytic needs and improve chargeback processes.
• Develop and maintain automated chargeback workflows to streamline processes.
• Visualize data and apply data insights using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, writing analytical expressions like DAX and MDX (optional).
