Senior / Lead Software Security Architect (SharePoint)

The role is for a Software Security Architect at 1dea, working on secure system design and application security with a focus on the SharePoint platform in the public EU sector. It is a remote, full-time B2B engagement lasting 12+ months.

• Documented technical experience in software security architecture
• Minimum 10 years of general IT experience and at least 8 years as a Security Architect or equivalent
• Higher education (master's degree, engineering degree, or equivalent)
• Fluent English communication (minimum B2 level)
• Recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CISM)
• Current Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Nice to have:

• Expert practical knowledge of SharePoint platform security architecture
• Excellent knowledge of Secure SDLC and reference models
• Keeping updated with latest threats, technologies, and trends in application security
• Strong communication skills and ability to bridge development, architects, and business teams

• Practical design of secure systems and applications according to Security & Privacy by Design/Default principles
• Auditing and analyzing application architecture for security weaknesses
• Defining strict security requirements, policies, and standards for software development
• Close collaboration with developers and IT teams to translate security requirements into architectural and coding guidelines
• Architecting and securing solutions based on the SharePoint platform and its tools
• Eliminating single points of failure and selecting appropriate protection mechanisms such as cryptography and access control
