Software Architect (Security & C++) | Remote

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is seeking an experienced Software/System Architect to support the development and security of a large on-premise enterprise product for the healthcare sector. The product is a mature monolithic application based on C++ and Qt, requiring architectural decisions related to implementing new security requirements.

• Experience as a Software/System Architect or Senior Software Engineer with strong architectural expertise.
• Very good knowledge of software design and system architecture.
• Experience working with large monolithic applications.
• Ability to design and implement architectural changes in mature production systems.
• Good knowledge of application security and ability to translate security requirements into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of low-level concepts such as memory management and multithreading.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

Nice to have:

• Experience with C++ and legacy C++ systems.
• Knowledge of the Qt framework and desktop/on-premise applications.
• Experience in the healthcare sector or with enterprise products.
• Participation in cybersecurity-related projects.

• Analyze security requirements and their impact on system architecture.
• Design architectural solutions to support the implementation of security requirements.
• Assess technical impact, dependencies, and risks of proposed changes.
• Make decisions regarding the implementation of requirements at the application, architecture, or infrastructure level.
• Define secure solutions in authentication, data access, file processing, and integration with external systems.
• Support development teams and review proposed technical solutions.
• Collaborate with architects and security experts on product changes.
