ServiceNow Architect

• Strong ServiceNow CMDB architecture experience with ability to assess and improve ongoing CMDB implementations
• Hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph Connectors, CMDB Health, identification and reconciliation rules
• Ability to pragmatically review architecture, configuration, data models, integrations, discovery schedules, backlog, design decisions
• Experience identifying CMDB data quality issues, duplicate CI risks, integration gaps, ownership ambiguities, process weaknesses, adoption barriers
• Balance architectural best practice with project realities, preserving useful work and correcting gaps
• Understanding of ITIL configuration management, incident, change, problem, asset, service request, and operational support processes
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with infrastructure, cloud, monitoring, network, application, security, and asset management tools
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops with teams and stakeholders
• Strong documentation skills including architecture design reviews, gap assessments, decision logs, remediation plans, integration specs, test support, governance
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to work across multiple technical and business teams

Nice to have:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist or relevant architecture certifications
• Experience joining mid-flight ServiceNow, CMDB, ITOM, ITSM or enterprise tooling programs to provide recovery, assurance, or delivery acceleration
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Common Service Data Model, service, application and technical service hierarchies
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, ITOM Visibility, ITAM, HAM, SAM, SecOps integrations
• Experience designing or improving CMDB operating models, stewardship models, data certification and health programs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, hybrid infrastructure, container platforms, network technologies, application dependency mapping, enterprise integration
• Experience supporting audit, regulatory, operational resilience, cyber risk, change risk or business continuity use cases via CMDB data
• Consulting or program delivery experience with incomplete documentation, inherited decisions, active teams, delivery pressure, multiple stakeholders

• Rapidly review the in-flight ServiceNow CMDB programme including architecture, data model, integrations, governance, backlog and risks
• Validate the CMDB design and build approach ensuring ServiceNow operates as single source of truth for enterprise data
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, technical debt, data quality issues, and ownership gaps
• Refine target CMDB architecture including CI class structure, attributes, relationships, identification rules, reconciliation rules, authoritative sources
• Prioritize backlog items, unresolved design questions, integration dependencies, data remediation activities, and delivery blockers
• Assess and improve integration patterns using ServiceNow Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, APIs, import sets, IntegrationHub
• Strengthen CMDB governance including stewardship, standards, certification, remediation workflows, health dashboards, and change control
• Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, cloud, infrastructure, network, application, enterprise architecture, operations, and business service owners
• Provide architectural guidance during build, testing, data load, discovery tuning, reconciliation, relationship mapping, service mapping, defect resolution, and adoption
• Prepare mid-project recommendations, decision records, remediation plans, implementation guidance, readiness assessments, and transition materials
