Senior Data Platform Engineer

Globaldev Group is a company specializing in creating engineering teams for technological businesses in Western Europe, Israel, and the USA, with development hubs in Israel, Ukraine, Portugal, and Poland. Established in 2010 in Kharkiv and expanded to Berlin in 2017, it currently employs around 220 people and focuses on long-term product teams using a modern technology stack.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Platform or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Proven track record with scalable data infrastructure and Data Lake architectures.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale data processing workloads on Kubernetes with workload autoscaling using KEDA.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Experience managing data orchestration platforms like Airflow or Prefect.
• Experience with Snowflake.

• Build complex, high-volume batch and near-real-time ingestion services.
• Evolve the platform’s streaming capabilities.
• Design and implement data solutions in a distributed microservices environment.
• Develop and optimize large-scale data pipelines for batch and streaming.
• Ensure data quality, compliance, and governance.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes infrastructure using KEDA for autoscaling.
• Own full lifecycle of data stack with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Provide technical guidance and enforce best practices around infrastructure, CI/CD, testing, and system design.
• Perform memory management and performance tuning for large-scale distributed systems.
