Senior Frontend Engineer - aiR Assist

Relativity is a legal data intelligence company developing the AI-powered, cloud platform RelativityOne used by law firms, corporations, and government agencies. The aiR Assist team builds chat and agent experiences for Relativity’s AI products, focusing on conversational user interfaces in the legal and enterprise domain.

Required:

• 4-6+ years professional frontend development experience with large-scale web applications or enterprise platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and the modern React ecosystem including hooks and concurrent rendering.
• Experience designing reusable UI infrastructure, shared libraries, and scalable frontend abstractions.
• Strong modular architecture knowledge, code splitting, lazy loading, micro-frontend concepts such as module federation and web components.
• Experience with component libraries like PrimeReact or Material UI.
• Strong responsive web design skills including semantic HTML, modern CSS methodologies, and cross-device UX.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and frontend state/data-fetching solutions like React Query and Zustand.
• Familiarity with bundlers and monorepo tools including Vite, Webpack, Nx, or Turborepo.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.

Preferred:

• Experience building frontend infrastructure in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience contributing to design systems or shared enterprise component libraries.
• Understanding of backend technologies like .NET or Node.js.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced frontend experiences including chat interfaces, streaming responses, and intelligent UI patterns.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML-assisted UI/UX development with personalization and generative interactions.

• Design and implement scalable, performant chat and agent user interfaces using React 19, TypeScript, PrimeReact, and Relativity’s design systems.
• Build rich AI-powered chat experiences including streaming responses, conversational state management, tool and skill interactions, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Contribute to Relativity’s micro-frontend platform involving web component-based applications, CDN deliveries, and shared AI context services.
• Apply frontend modularization with clean module boundaries, shared libraries, code splitting, and monorepo development with Nx.
• Build responsive, accessible, cross-platform user experiences adhering to WCAG standards.
• Collaborate with UX, Product, and Backend teams for continuous product improvements.
• Define and promote frontend standards for testing, accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
• Own comprehensive frontend test coverage using Vitest, Playwright, visual regression testing, and Storybook.
• Contribute to frontend CI/CD including automated pipelines, progressive CDN deployments, versioning, and component lifecycle workflows.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on frontend initiatives.
• Explore and integrate AI-driven enhancements into customer and internal experiences.
