Configuration manager

ELESTER is part of PGE group, the largest company in Poland in the power sector in terms of revenues and generated profit. ELESTER is a technology company that creates modern and innovative solutions in automation and remote control in the railway sector. ELESTER is the Polish leader in producing power supply protection automation for traction substations and control systems for railway and tram electrical power. ELESTER is developing a next-generation Radio Block Centre (RBC) for ERTMS/ETCS Level 2, combining AI technologies, 5G connectivity, and modern railway communication standards. This strategic R&D initiative supports the digital transformation of railway infrastructure across Europe.

• Hands-on experience in Configuration Management within highly complex projects, preferably in the railway, automotive, or aerospace industries.
• Proficient knowledge of version control systems, configuration management tools, and ALM/PLM platforms (e.g., Git, IBM DOORS, Polarion, CodeBeamer, Jira).
• Advanced knowledge of software build tools including CMake and JFrog.
• Solid understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, and configuration management standards for safety-critical systems (e.g., CENELEC, ISO 26262, ASPICE).
• High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to enforce procedures, and strong communication skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Experience in building and integrating software build environments (e.g., Yocto Project) and automating release management processes.
• Professional certifications in Configuration Management such as CMII (Configuration Management II) or equivalent.

• Development, implementation, and oversight of Configuration Management strategies and procedures (Configuration Management Plan) for complex projects.
• Control of the lifecycle of project artifacts, including source code, software packages, system documentation, and requirements.
• Conducting configuration audits (Baseline Audits) and ensuring full consistency and traceability between requirements, architecture, and source code.
• Managing the change control process (Change Control Management / Change Request Board) and coordinating software releases (Release Management).
• Close collaboration with development, architecture, and testing teams, as well as quality assurance and security departments.
• Using tools such as Jira, Redmine, GitHub, ALM, Git, GitLab, Agile, and Scrum.
