Software Product Assurance / Quality Assurance Engineer

• Experience in software testing or quality assurance of software running on a device.
• Willingness to work close to hardware: bench setups and defect reproduction on boards.
• Practical knowledge of Python: writing test code, hardware interface driving, maintaining test suites.
• Knowledge of test frameworks such as pytest, including fixtures, parametrization, and reporting.
• Ability to write repeatable and auditable test procedures and reports.
• Understanding of requirements engineering and traceability.
• Proficiency with Git, code review, and CI systems.
• English proficiency sufficient for reading standards, documentation, and technical discussions.
• Availability to work from the Gliwice office every Tuesday.

• Take responsibility for software verification of on-board data processing units: decide what has to be tested, at which level, and on which target.
• Review software requirements for testability and keep them traceable from system requirements down to the test cases.
• Write and maintain automated tests in Python: functional tests against firmware and Linux images, on emulated targets and real hardware.
• Maintain traceability matrix and tooling producing it from requirements, test reports, and CI results.
• Keep test suites running in CI, triage failures, differentiate product defects from flaky tests or broken benches.
• Report and track defects to fix and regression test.
• Prepare software product assurance documentation: test plans, procedures, reports, and verification evidence for customer reviews.
• Audit the process including coding standards, static analysis, code review, configuration management, and release procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and support team in applying product assurance customer requirements.

Availability to work from Gliwice office every Tuesday is required.
