Senior Software Engineer -Observability, Managed Inputs

• Intermediate to expert Go skills with strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Kafka.
• At least intermediate experience with observability practices (tracing, metrics, logs, profiling).
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems design tradeoffs.
• Positive attitude, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis beyond superficial issues.
• Experience working independently in globally distributed teams, with strong collaboration.
• Experience with or interest in OpenTelemetry.
• Autonomous work style with effective asynchronous and transparent communication.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools for feature development, debugging, and optimization.

Bonus Points:

• Experience designing scalable, high-availability services ingesting terabytes of data daily.
• Experience with operational stability as an incident responder or commander.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and/or Kibana.
• Passion for open-source development and community contributions.
• Experience working in fully remote teams.

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain high-performing, scalable features for Managed Inputs and Managed Integrations across major cloud providers.
• Lead projects and features from concept to delivery.
• Provide engineering support for escalated customer cases on a rotation basis.
• Mentor peers via pull request reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
• Monitor alerts, build SLIs and SLOs, and ensure system stability.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, collaborative team culture across timezones.
• Participate in on-call rotations for owned services (12h/day/week every 8-10 weeks).
