Toyota Digital HUB & SSC (TME NV/SA) leads the development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of Toyota’s connected services ecosystem across European markets. The team integrates vehicle connectivity platforms, mobile applications, and cloud-based services ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Reliability Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Python or another backend programming language.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EKS, ECS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, and API Gateway.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog (APM, logs, dashboards, SLOs, RUM, synthetic monitoring).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL (MSSQL or other dialects) and MongoDB (indexes, replica sets, performance tuning).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of queues & messaging systems like SQS/SNS and Kafka.
• Basic Linux and networking fundamentals including HTTP, TLS, DNS, and load balancing.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in the automotive industry.

• Partner with product teams to define and enforce SLIs and SLOs for backend microservices.
• Improve reliability of a microservices ecosystem including Java/Spring Boot, Python, and Node.js.
• Optimize system performance including latency, throughput, memory/GC tuning, and JVM diagnostics.
• Drive resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and graceful degradation.
• Build deep observability using Datadog metrics, logs, traces, synthetics, RUM, and APM.
• Triage and restore service during incidents with proactive communication.
• Conduct post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and track long-term remediations.
• Operate backend services across EKS and ECS.
• Manage AWS components including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, IAM, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Build tooling and automation using Python and/or shell scripting.
• Operate and troubleshoot MSSQL/SQL and MongoDB (replica sets, indexes, PITR).
• Ensure backup/restore reliability, failover, and performance tuning.
