Senior/Leading Angular developer (Angular + Django)

KOIA is working on a modern fintech platform built for the Scandinavian market, delivering an Accounting Practice Management System co-owned by three major accounting firms, serving over 5,000 daily enterprise users. The client’s engineering team is small (5-6 developers) and focuses on high-quality software and engineering practices.

• 8+ years of commercial software development experience with extensive frontend development
• Strong expertise in Angular (versions 17-22) and TypeScript
• Experience designing, building, and evolving large-scale Angular applications
• Knowledge of modern Angular architecture, including Signals, RxJS, state management, dependency injection, and component architecture
• Proven ability to make complex architectural decisions and take ownership
• Experience with Python and Django 4.x including Django Rest Framework, Django Filters, and Celery
• Experience writing unit tests using pytest
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS and AWS Fargate)
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows (CircleCI preferred)
• Experience working with Git and GitHub workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Very good English communication skills (B2+/C1)

Nice to have:

• Experience introducing architectural improvements or modernizing production applications
• Experience designing distributed systems
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience in fintech or product companies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Design, build, and evolve scalable Angular applications
• Take technical ownership of the frontend architecture and collaborate with the Django/Python backend
• Make complex technical and architectural decisions
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, refactoring, and mentoring
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into engineering workflows while maintaining code quality, architecture, and security
