Network Threat Response Expert (K/M)

Alior Bank SA is recruiting for a Network Threat Response Expert role based in Kraków. The position involves responsibilities in network security infrastructure within a financial institution.

• Experience in detecting and analyzing network attacks
• Experience in designing network or system security architecture
• Knowledge of firewall and WAF systems and their configuration in hybrid environments (VMware/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of network incident response techniques and creation/testing of security policies
• Problem analysis skills to identify root causes (RCA)
• Ability to automate response processes (e.g., in Python or shell scripting)
• Understanding of vulnerability lifecycle and mitigation methods without altering application infrastructure
• Practical knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, ISO/OSI layers, routing, switching) and network traffic security
• Additional advantage: experience with Linux/Unix systems and knowledge of segmentation, access control, cryptographic techniques, and VPN
• Valued certifications: CISSP, OSCP, MAD, or similar

• Plan and implement preventive actions based on threat analysis data
• Develop roadmaps for hardening network infrastructure and define rapid response policies
• Deploy attack detection mechanisms and automatic, appropriate remediation
• Co-create and develop the organization's network security architecture
• Implement, configure, and optimize intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), WAF, and Anti-DDoS solutions
• Create and develop automation of incident response processes (e.g., scripts, playbooks, integration with response tools)
• Apply virtual patching techniques to reduce vulnerability risks without modifying source code
