Senior/Leading Angular developer (Angular + Django)

KOIA is a software development company working with Scandinavian partners to build products and technology for real business problems. The role involves working on a modern fintech platform for the Scandinavian market, specifically an Accounting Practice Management System co-owned by three major accounting firms serving 5,000+ daily enterprise users. The client engineering team is small, focusing on excellent engineering practices and high-quality software development.

• 8+ years of commercial software development experience with strong frontend expertise.
• Very strong expertise in Angular (versions 17-22) and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing, building, and evolving large-scale Angular applications.
• Expertise in modern Angular architecture (Signals, RxJS, state management, dependency injection, component architecture).
• Ability to make complex technical and architectural decisions with long-term impact.
• Hands-on experience providing technical leadership, code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentoring.
• Strong hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor).
• Ability to integrate AI tools while maintaining code quality, architecture, security, testing, and maintainability.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience with Django 4.x, Django REST Framework, Django Filters, and Celery.
• Experience writing unit tests with Pytest.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS and AWS Fargate).
• Good understanding of CI/CD workflows (CircleCI preferred).
• Experience working with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Very good English communication skills (B2+/C1).

• Take technical ownership of the frontend architecture and guide its evolution.
• Design scalable and maintainable frontend solutions.
• Make and take ownership of complex technical and architectural decisions.
• Work hands-on primarily with Angular while contributing to Django/Python backend development when needed.
• Define and promote frontend engineering standards.
• Support the team through code reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance.
• Drive improvements in code quality, architecture, and technical debt.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and blockers and address them with stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, and Cursor to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and refactoring while maintaining standards.
• Ensure high software quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Maintain a client-focused approach with regular communication.
• Work in CET with occasional travel to Norway or Poland for meetings and events.

Work in the Central European Time zone (CET) with availability during core CET business hours. Occasional travel to Norway or Poland for in-person meetings and events.
