Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. operates in backend software development, building tools to protect platform APIs and collaborating with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to automate processes. The team works on high-throughput systems handling massive API traffic and uses a modern tech stack including Kotlin, Java, and GCP big data pipelines (BigQuery, Airflow).

• Commercial coding experience in Kotlin or Java.
• Eagerness to master Kotlin for new services.
• Commitment to high-quality code and engineering best practices.
• Interest in applying AI in daily work.
• Effective communication in Polish and English (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Experience with React for frontend tasks.

• Build tools for API protection, including API management, key and resource access control.
• Detect and mitigate abusive traffic to maintain platform compliance.
• Develop backend microservices using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to automate key processes and decision-making.
• Occasionally take frontend tasks using React (nice-to-have).
• Work on high-throughput systems with a strict 50 ms time budget.
