FinOps Analyst

LinkGroup is the hiring company for this Cloud FinOps Analyst role.

• Proven experience in Cloud FinOps and familiarity with cloud ecosystems: AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Cloudability.
• Strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL, and Power Query for data modeling and visualization.
• Background in financial planning, variance analysis, cost allocation (chargeback/showback), and month-end accounting.
• Keen interest in AI-assisted forecasting and predictive modeling tools.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical concepts and financial objectives.

• Analyze cloud spend across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Snowflake to identify savings opportunities such as idle resources and right-sizing.
• Track commitments and manage Reserved Instances / Savings Plans.
• Build cloud budgets at team, project, and product levels.
• Forecast spend based on usage trends and analyze actual versus forecast to support financial planning.
• Implement chargeback/showback models and reconcile spending between budget, forecast, and actuals.
• Process invoices and prepare month-end journal entries.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and streamline data workflows using SQL and Power Query.
• Deliver ad-hoc financial insights to leadership.
• Apply predictive analytics and leverage AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot, Copilot Studio) to analyze spending patterns and identify savings.
