QA Automation Engineer (Java / REST Assured)

ITLT provides expert IT professionals to help partner companies transform ambitious ideas into digital reality. The current opening is for a QA Automation Engineer role in the energy sector, focusing on developing platforms and systems for managing networks of electric vehicle charging stations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, including practical experience with test automation in Java
• Strong knowledge of Java and programming best practices such as OOP, SOLID, and KISS
• Practical experience with REST Assured for backend and REST API test automation
• Familiarity with test frameworks including JUnit or TestNG
• Good knowledge of Postman
• Experience testing APIs and microservices-based applications
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools and processes
• Good understanding of SQL databases
• Familiarity with SDLC and software testing processes
• Experience in code review practices
• Knowledge of manual testing techniques
• Proactive, responsible, and independent work ethic
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with development teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with performance and load testing, including Gatling
• Experience with cloud solutions, particularly AWS
• Experience developing or maintaining test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of AI tools supporting the testing process

• Design, develop, and maintain automated backend and REST API tests using Java and REST Assured
• Analyze requirements and technical specifications, plan and conduct tests independently
• Identify risks and select appropriate testing approaches in a microservices environment
• Prepare and execute both automated and manual tests for backend, API, and inter-service communication
• Verify correctness of API functionality, business logic, and microservices communication
• Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers for diagnosis
• Participate in code reviews and apply good programming practices including OOP, SOLID, and KISS principles
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines and work with Git version control
• Independently manage the QA area, including test planning and execution, supported by an experienced QA Automation Engineer
