QA Automation Engineer

Verkada Poland builds autonomous small teams focused on device lifecycle and quality, in the embedded systems domain.

• 5+ years of experience in software QA, release engineering, or testing physical/embedded devices
• Experience designing test strategies and developing automated test cases for regression and end-to-end testing
• Proficient in Python, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and databases
• Understanding of hardware/software interactions and troubleshooting on physical devices
• Experience automating manual QA processes and creating reliable regression tests
• Ability to identify, reproduce, and report issues found during automated testing or fleet monitoring

Nice to have:

• Experience with release validation and fleet health monitoring
• Experience with configuration and release management
• Experience with data science tools (Querybook, Hex)
• Use of Grafana or similar tools for telemetry data visualization
• Familiarity with BDD methodology (Gherkin syntax)
• Experience with TeamCity, GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of embedded systems, device telemetry, HIL testing
• Basic understanding of electronics

• Develop tools to analyze fleet health, monitor devices after releases, create alerts, and manage device configurations
• Work with large data volumes using Querybook, Hex, Grafana, AWS Athena
• Monitor telemetry data from devices
• Analyze automated HIL regression test results
• Run automated tests on release builds and perform manual checks
• Develop proofs-of-concept to automate remaining manual tests and new features
• Implement automated tests and add them to the regression suite
• Expand regression test coverage based on fleet health analysis and customer bug reports
