FinOps Analyst

Link Group is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to bridge Finance, Cloud Engineering, Platform Operations, Product Teams, Security, and Business Leadership. The role involves driving cost transparency, forecasting, and optimization to ensure cloud investments deliver business value while maintaining financial accountability.

• Proven experience in Cloud FinOps and familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Cloudability).
• Strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL, and Power Query for data modeling and visualization.
• Background in financial planning, variance analysis, cost allocation (chargeback/showback), and month-end accounting.
• Keen interest in AI-assisted forecasting and predictive modeling tools.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical concepts and financial objectives.

Cloud Cost Management & Optimization:

• Analyze spend across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Snowflake.
• Identify savings opportunities such as idle resources and right-sizing.
• Track commitments and manage Reserved Instances / Savings Plans.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Build cloud budgets at the team, project, and product levels.
• Forecast spend based on usage trends.
• Analyze actuals versus forecast and support long-range planning.

Cost Allocation & Governance:

• Implement chargeback/showback models.
• Process invoices and prepare month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile spending between budget, forecast, and actuals.

Visualization & Reporting:

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards.
• Streamline data workflows using SQL and Power Query.
• Deliver ad-hoc financial insights to leadership.

AI & Predictive Innovation:

• Apply predictive analytics to cloud forecasting.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot, Copilot Studio) to build models analyzing spending patterns and identifying savings.
