mid Data Engineer

Cloudfide designs and delivers advanced Big Data and cloud-native data platforms for international clients, including major players in retail and Fortune 500 companies. They process massive datasets, operate fully in the cloud ecosystem, and use the latest technologies including AI, ML, and MLOps.

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering-focused role.
• 1+ year of experience working with cloud platforms, primarily Azure; experience with AWS or GCP is also welcome.
• 2+ years of Python coding experience with strong skills in writing clean, production-ready code.
• 2+ years of SQL experience and hands-on work with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of DWH data modeling and ETL/ELT development.
• General awareness of cloud architecture, networking, and security concepts.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

• Building and launching data pipelines and data models in cloud environments (Azure is the main ecosystem).
• Close collaboration with clients: gathering requirements, discussing solutions, and communicating progress.
• Implementing best practices in data engineering including data integrity, quality checks, testing, documentation, and data lineage.
• Optimizing existing analytical solutions for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Contributing to cloud architecture design and standards, including security, governance, and scalability.
• Working with CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and production-ready processes (DataOps).
• Supporting integrations across BI, ML, and DevOps teams.
