Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes / A2P Messaging)

Digital New Agency Poland operates a high-volume messaging platform processing around 1 million messages daily, supporting about 175 customers and 120 suppliers, with over 300 long-lived messaging connections. The platform runs long-lived TCP sessions requiring stable network endpoints and predictable deployment behavior across two infrastructure sites.

• Experience in telecom, carrier, messaging, or environments with persistent network connections.
• Knowledge of telecom protocols such as SMPP, SIP, SS7, or similar.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes on self-managed or on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience handling stateful, long-lived TCP workloads on Kubernetes, including connection draining and Layer 4 load balancing.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux and networking: routing, NAT, firewalls, MTU, TLS, and packet-level diagnostics.
• Practical experience with network troubleshooting tools like tcpdump.
• Skilled in designing monitoring and alerting systems with appropriate alert thresholds.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD for containerized systems.
• Practical PostgreSQL operations experience including replication and disaster recovery.
• Ability to collaborate with external infrastructure and network providers.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Real production on-call and incident response experience.

• Use AI-assisted engineering for infrastructure tooling, automation, documentation, and runbooks.
• Build and operate Kubernetes infrastructure across two sites using infrastructure-as-code and automated delivery.
• Design deployment mechanisms for graceful draining of long-lived connections during releases.
• Take ownership of platform networking including ingress/egress IPs, Layer 4 load balancing, TLS, and coordinate with external providers.
• Build and operate observability stack: metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting.
• Design production-focused monitoring with insight into individual connections and failure modes.
• Manage certificate lifecycle, secrets management, and platform access control.
• Operate PostgreSQL in a highly available configuration including replication, failover, backups, and verified restores.
• Design and exercise backup and disaster recovery procedures across two sites.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA on performance and production-scale load testing.
• Support platform migration and production cutovers.
• Participate in production incident response and 24x7 on-call rotation during steady-state phase.
