AI Platform Engineer, Enablement and Governance Operations

Payward, the parent company behind Kraken and other platforms, has built a modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platform advancing an open, global financial system. Kraken is a longstanding crypto platform trusted globally, offering spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for individual and institutional clients. The Enterprise Transformation team owns Kraken's internal AI platform, deploying AI tooling at scale with governed integration and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with enterprise SaaS administration at scale (1,000+ seats), preferably including AI or LLM platforms.
• Proven ability to build and ship software using Python or comparable languages, with familiarity in version control, CI, containers, and secrets management.
• Experience integrating with LLM and SaaS APIs with knowledge of agent and tool use patterns like MCP.
• Working knowledge of identity and access management technologies such as Okta, OAuth, SCIM, SSO, and federated machine identity.
• Strong operational discipline with familiarity in intake queues, SLAs, runbooks, and documentation.
• Ability to teach technical capabilities to diverse audiences including compliance, traders, and engineers.
• Clear written communication skills for documentation and policy writing.
• Good judgment to differentiate necessary capabilities from temporary demos.

• Design and build the AI platform technical layer from integration to production.
• Own and manage the governed integration gateway, including connector onboarding and authentication flows such as OAuth and federated identity.
• Build internal tooling extending the AI platform, including agent scaffolding and prompt asset management.
• Configure and operate tiered spend controls with alerting, exception management, and monthly reconciliation.
• Implement technical controls for data handling, retention, and model eligibility, including SSO, SCIM, and entitlement management.
• Collaborate directly with teams to unblock workflows and facilitate effective AI tool usage.
• Conduct technical enablement through deep dives, office hours, and maintaining engineering documentation.
• Administer the enterprise AI estate end to end, including model provisioning and vendor configuration.
