Senior QA Automation Engineer – C# / Playwright / Cypress

The role is within the Asset Management technology team, focusing on ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of critical investment management applications in the financial technology domain.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong practical experience in both functional testing and test automation.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
• Strong programming skills in C#.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries for database validation and data integrity.
• Experience testing web-based applications and complex business workflows.
• Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently design and implement automation solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar ALM/project management tools.
• Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience in financial services, investment management, asset management, or other data-intensive applications.

• Perform end-to-end functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing of web-based applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable automated test scripts using C# with Playwright or Cypress.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks and reusable testing components.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test suites.
• Validate application functionality, business workflows, data accuracy, and overall system behavior.
• Perform backend and database validation using SQL, including complex queries.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams.
• Ensure effective test coverage across new features and critical business processes.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing strategies, tools, and QA processes.
• Contribute to integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality practices.
