Senior Software Engineer (A2P Messaging/ Agentic Engineering)

Digital New Agency Poland is building a high-volume messaging platform as a replacement for a business-critical wholesale messaging system used by a US operator. The platform processes around 1 million messages daily supporting approximately 175 customers and 120 suppliers. The role involves working in a compact senior engineering team with a clear production deadline.

• Experience with telecom, messaging, CPaaS or carrier platforms.
• Knowledge of A2P/SMS concepts including SMPP, routing, DLRs, CDRs, rating, or wholesale messaging.
• Minimum 5 years of strong backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin (primary languages).
• Experience using AI across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to orchestrate and supervise AI agents.
• Proven ability to take ownership of end-to-end problems.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and partial requirements.
• Ability to move quickly without lowering engineering standards.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Own meaningful functionality end to end: understanding the problem, designing the solution, implementation, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
• Work across APIs, application services, PostgreSQL, and asynchronous or event-driven processing.
• Handle incomplete or evolving requirements and turn them into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Use AI coding agents in development workflow for exploration, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Build observability, testing, and failure handling into solutions.
• Collaborate directly with other senior engineers, SREs, and architects on technical decisions and production behavior.
• Contribute to a modular architecture supporting parallel work by engineers and their AI tooling.
• Support the platform through production readiness, migration, and operation.
