Mobile Staff Product Engineer, Platform/Infrastructure (all genders)

HelloFresh's HelloTech organisation is a global technology backbone with more than 1000 people building digital products powering their end-to-end food experience, including meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, pet food, and premium meat & seafood offerings. The Consumer Foundations tribe focuses on mobile platform evolution and architecture, supporting multi-brand applications with a white-labeled, multi-brand React Native architecture.

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, including practical use of AI agents daily.
• Deep expertise in React Native, iOS (Swift), and Android (Kotlin) including app release cycles, performance profiling, native code bridging, and app store processes.
• Experience with context engineering for AI coding agents ensuring reliable output and appropriate guardrails.
• Proven track record in managing workflows, linting, caching, and build times for large engineering teams (50+ developers).
• Experience managing complex build configurations, white-label scaling, and monorepo architectures.
• Deep mobile engineering expertise including test automation and platform UX conventions.
• Ability to operate autonomously and make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Strong cross-squad influence and communication skills.
• Product sense with data and user evidence-backed opinions on feature building.
• Degree-level education or equivalent expertise.

Architectural and Technical Leadership:

• Shape the architectural direction and contribute to the React Native migration within a multi-brand white-labeled application ecosystem.
• Design scalable infrastructure and developer experience for the React Native monorepo.
• Maintain and scale the monorepo for future cross-platform code sharing with web repositories.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Bitrise and help migrate to Expo.
• Build robust tracing and dashboards using Honeycomb and establish end-to-end testing frameworks with Maestro.
• Review technical solutions, provide architectural guidance, and promote engineering best practices.
• Improve application health and reliability through observability tooling, performance reporting, incident response, and operational guardrails.
• Facilitate architectural decision-making using various documentation levels including RFCs and ADRs.

Engineering and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with international engineering and product teams.
• Operate with high autonomy and accountability, supporting teams during complex production incidents.
• Influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
• Combine hands-on engineering with leadership to support developer workflows and tooling scaling.
