Senior Backend Product Engineer - Python and/or Go (all genders)

The Warsaw-based HelloTech division is a global technology group of over 1,000 people powering an end-to-end food ecosystem, focusing on digital personalization, forecasting, supply chain optimization, and food waste reduction.

• Hands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) beyond casual experimentation.
• Strong fluency in Go or Python with experience building distributed systems in production, including event-driven and asynchronous flows.
• Experience designing systems for partial failure with clear service contracts.
• Solid experience building, deploying, and operating critical backend services in production.
• Technical comfort with distributed systems, messaging queues, containerization, and modern deployment infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering instincts with practical application of design methodologies like TDD, BDD, or DDD.
• Excellent communication capabilities to work effectively in an international, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Full ownership mindset with a bias to ship and finish tasks.
• Product sense with the ability to base decisions on data and user evidence.

• Take technical lead on backend-heavy product problems, designing, building, and operating reliable services and systems at scale under a full DevOps model.
• Build event-driven systems utilizing messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.
• Expose data via clean REST and gRPC interfaces.
• Work extensively with Docker, container orchestration via Kubernetes, and CI/CD automated deployment pipelines.
• Maintain a strong commitment to testing, executing test suites from unit tests through full end-to-end coverage.
• Collaborate closely within cross-functional agile teams including product leads, frontend engineers, designers, and data teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, actively participating in code and architecture reviews.
• Leverage modern AI tools and workflows (e.g., Claude, Cursor) as a component of engineering delivery.
• Operate what you build by instrumenting, monitoring, and improving systems in production.
• Work beyond specialization when required while using specialization as an anchor.
