Senior Full-Stack Engineer

To create revolutionary, story-driven RPGs which go straight to the hearts of gamers — this is the mission of CD PROJEKT RED. The company develops games and shares behind-the-scenes insights and stories through their YouTube channel and Beyond the Game Blog.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering at a senior level.
• Deep expertise in Python and backend development.
• Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or comparable frameworks and libraries.
• Experience designing maintainable APIs, data models, integrations, and service architectures.
• Hands-on experience developing backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience developing frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
• Good working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience deploying, operating, or troubleshooting applications in a public cloud environment.
• Understanding of containerization, CI/CD, application monitoring, and production support.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secure API design, and web application security.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including automated testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable design.
• Ownership mindset with effective communication skills in an international environment.
• Interest in developing toward a coordinator position with organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience building distributed or event-driven systems using technologies such as Redis or Kafka.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, container orchestration, or cloud-native observability.
• Experience developing internal tools for technical or creative users.
• Experience in game development, media production, digital-content pipelines, or other complex production workflow domains.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Deliver features end to end from data models and service architecture through React-based user interfaces.
• Make architectural decisions improving reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Design integrations between internal applications, production systems, and external services.
• Participate in deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications in a cloud environment.
• Collaborate with product, UX, infrastructure, and game development teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Own larger areas of work and break them down into deliverables.
• Take on coordination responsibilities to organize the team’s day-to-day work, facilitate communication, and maintain visibility of priorities.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

• Relocation to Warsaw is required.
• Working primarily from the Warsaw studio in a full-time or hybrid mode.
